Privacy Policy
Last updated: October 6, 2026
This policy explains what information One Roof Dentistry collects through dentistsinportstlucie.com, how we use it, and the choices you have. We’ve tried to keep it simple and in plain English. If anything here isn’t clear, email us at info@dentistsinportstlucie.com or ask us when you’re in the office.
Looking for how we protect your dental records? As a patient, your health information is covered by our HIPAA Notice of Privacy Practices, which explains how we use and share it and the rights you have. Ask for a copy at the front desk any time, or email us and we’ll send you one. This website policy covers only the information you share through our site.
Who we are
One Roof Dentistry, 388 SW Port St. Lucie Blvd, Port St. Lucie, FL 34984. Whenever you see “we” or “us” on this page, that means our team at One Roof Dentistry.
What we collect
Information you give us. When you fill out a form on our site to request a visit or send a message, we collect what you type in, such as:
- Your name
- Your phone or mobile number
- Your email address
- The reason for your visit and the day that works for you
- Anything else you choose to write in the message box
If you call, text or email us, we also get your number or email address and whatever you tell us.
Information collected automatically. Like most websites, ours keeps a few technical details when you visit: your IP address, browser and device type, the pages you look at and the site that sent you here. We use this to see which pages are helpful and to keep the site secure, not to figure out who you are.
What we don’t ask for online. We never ask for your Social Security number, insurance details or payment card information through this website. Please don’t send health details through our forms or by email. Call us or tell us in person instead.
How we use your information
- To reply to you and to book, confirm or change your appointment
- To run our website, fix problems and protect it from spam and attacks
- To understand which pages people find useful, so we can improve them
- To follow the law when we’re required to
We don’t sell your personal information, and we don’t run ads that follow you around the internet.
Text messages and calls
If you give us your mobile number, we may call or text you about your request or appointment. Message and data rates may apply, and how often we text depends on your visit. Reply STOP to any text to stop receiving them, or HELP for help.
We don’t sell or share your mobile number or your text message opt-in with third parties or affiliates for their marketing or promotional purposes.
Who we share it with
We share only what’s needed, and only with companies that help us run our site and our office:
- Our website host, which stores our site and the messages you send through it
- Automattic (Jetpack), which runs our site statistics, security tools and contact form
- Google, because the map on our Contact and About pages and the fonts on our site load from Google. When they load, Google receives your IP address and basic browser details
- Our email provider, which delivers messages between you and our office
We may also share information when the law requires it, such as a court order, or when it’s needed to protect someone’s health or safety.
Cookies
Cookies are small files your browser saves. Our site uses only a few. WordPress sets cookies if you log in or leave a comment, and Jetpack and the embedded Google Map may set their own cookies or use similar technology. We don’t use advertising cookies. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, and our site will still work.
Do Not Track. Some browsers send a “Do Not Track” signal. There’s no common standard for how websites should respond to it, so our site doesn’t change how it works when it gets one. Either way, we don’t track you across other websites.
Comments
If comments are open on a blog post and you leave one, we save your name, email address, comment and IP address. Your name and comment are shown publicly. We may check a scrambled version of your email with Gravatar (owned by Automattic) so your profile picture can show up.
How long we keep it
We keep messages and form requests only as long as we need them to reply to you, run our office and meet legal record keeping rules. If you become a patient, your dental records are kept as Florida law requires.
How we protect it
Our site uses a secure, encrypted connection (HTTPS), and only our team members who need your information can see it. No website or email system is perfectly secure, so please don’t send sensitive health details online. If a security breach ever affects your information, we’ll let you know, as Florida law and HIPAA require.
Your choices
- See, fix or delete what you sent us. Email us at info@dentistsinportstlucie.com and tell us what you’d like changed. We may need to keep some details if the law requires it.
- Stop texts. Reply STOP to any message.
- Your patient records. Your rights to see, copy or correct your dental records are explained in our HIPAA Notice of Privacy Practices.
Children
Our website isn’t meant for children under 13, and we don’t knowingly collect their information online. Parents and guardians are welcome to book visits for their kids. If you think a child has sent us information through our site, contact us and we’ll delete it.
Links to other websites
Our site links to other websites, like Google Maps and Google reviews. When you visit them, their own privacy policies apply.
Changes to this policy
If we change this policy, we’ll update it on this page and change the “Last updated” date at the top. If the change is a big one, we’ll make it clear here.
